TrackR, the creator of intelligent personal tracking devices and software, announces their latest application,TrackR tablet. TrackR tablet enables users to locate lost or missing iPads using their smartphone, without needing Wi-Fi or cellular connection. Users just need to download the free TrackR tablet app to their iPad, this enables users to track their iPad using the existing TrackR app on their phone.

If a user is unable to locate their iPad around their home or office, they can simply open the TrackR app and ring their missing iPad. There is no need to login to a web account or even have an internet connection. The functionality works both ways, so users can ring their missing phone from their TrackR tablet app running on their iPad as well.

If an iPad goes missing on the go, like on an airplane or a train, the user can utilize TrackR’s Crowd Locate technology to recover their missing iPad. When missing, the TrackR tablet app will emit a unique wireless signal over Bluetooth. Then when another TrackR user walks by the missing iPad, the TrackR user’s phone detects the missing iPad and will update the iPad’s owner with the latest location. Given that most missing and lost iPads do not have Wi-Fi or cellular data enabled, this solves a major problem for iPad owners everywhere.

TrackR tablet is available free download on the App Storehere. The companion TrackR app is also free and available to download on the App Store here.
