Whether you’re celebrating the 4th of July at the beach or a backyard BBQ, we’re all here to celebrate America’s independence, but what do we really know about this holiday? Our History teacher taught us that the 13 colonies declared their independence from England on this day, but did know that the Declaration of Independence was actually signed on August 2, 1776, not July 4th!

Now that we have a little background on the holiday, let’s get to celebrating! Here are some tips to throw a fun filled party without all the stress!

1. Head to the grocery store early!

Every year, we put off going to the grocery store until the day before the event and end up wasting hours waiting in long lines! Head to the store early and bring a shopping list! Whether it’s a physical list or one on your smartphone, it’s always good to have something to refer to!. This can ensure you don’t have to turn back around just for 1 missing item!

2. Have a game plan:

So now you have your shopping list and are ready to head over to the store! Make sure you have a game plan. Try going to a grocery store you’re familiar with so you can spend less time roaming around aisles looking for ketchup and mustard. Start on one end of the store (I always prefer starting with produce) and make your way down to the other end. Try to remember which aisles you need to go through so you don’t have to jump around from aisle to aisle. We only want smooth sailing!

3. Prepare:

Shopping is now all done and it’s time to prepare for the party! If you’re having a lot of people over, things can get a bit crazy! Put a TrackR on all your belongings to make sure that nothing gets lost or stolen! With so many people around, the likelihood of theft unfortunately increases and it’s better to be safe than sorry. With a TrackR bravo, you can easily attach it to your belongings and track their location on a map!
